Anna Truong left me a review this week on Google. I've been photographing her family since 2007, so I wanted to show you what she was talking about.

In 2007, Anna and her husband came to my studio in Frisco in their wedding attire for portraits.
A couple of years later they came back with their first baby girl.

After that they kept coming back. Almost every year the Truongs came in for their Christmas card, and somewhere along the way it stopped being something they booked and became something we did together. Anna wrote:
“Our family and friends always look forward to receiving our Christmas cards each year.”

By 2014 there were three girls.
This family has a special place in my heart. Their middle girl has the same name as my daughter. They spell it differently, but it sounds the same, and it's an unusual name you just don't hear very often. Every time I said her name in a photo session, I got a warm feeling.

This one from 2017 is one of my favorites. The light was going warm and gold, and all I really had to do was get them walking and holding hands. The little one looking up at her mom is the part that makes it.
Some years we got dressed up. Some years we didn't.

And now their oldest is a senior. She's the baby from 2009.

Somewhere along the way the little girl from all those Christmas cards grew up, and I got a front-row seat. Anna said it better than I can:
“We’ve loved watching our family grow through his photos over the years.”
So have I, Anna. Thank you for trusting me with almost twenty years of your family. God willing, I'll still be doing this when it's time for the next generation.
